A 23-year-old lady, Blessing Isanbor, who was allegedly shot by a police Killer corporal, Mr. Emmanuel Okujo, around 6:30pm on February 10, 2012
in the Gbagada area of Lagos  is Writhing in serious pain due to the severity of the injury, which made her not able to eat.. The killer police allegedly shot her in the mouth with an AK 47 rifle for unknown reasons. Okujo had come to visit Patience at her mother’s house at 12, Ifateyindo Street, Ifako. After eating moi moi (bean pie), which Blessing had prepared, Okujo took her telephone and slammed it on the floor and asked Blessing to say her last prayers.

Her uncle, Mr. Steven Isanbor, explained that Okujo the police man shot Blessing a few minutes after eating her meal.

 According to Blessing, she was shocked and asked what she had done wrong and before she knew it, Okujo allegedly brought out an AK47 rifle from his bag and pointed it at her. She (blessing) immediately started shouting for help and neighbours attempted to come to her aid. But Okujo started shooting indiscriminately to scare them. However Okujo shot Blessing in the mouth, left her for dead, locked her inside the house before fleeing the scene with the victim’s younger sister, Patience. Okujo the beast police man is the boyfriend to the victim’s younger sister, Patience.

It was gathered that after the incident, some neighbours immediately rushed to the Ifako Police Division and informed the Divisional Police Officer while Blessing was rushed to the Gbagada General Hospital by policemen from the Ifako division from where she was immediately transferred to LASUTH.

As the police accompanied Isanbor (Blessings uncle) to Okujo’s police barracks residence at 37, Ribadu Road, Ikoyi. On getting to Okujo’s apartment, it was observed that he had packed some of his clothes and disappeared.

Blessing family is pleading with kindhearted Nigeria to come to their aid as they need more money because Blessing treatment is very expensive.

He said so far that they have spent about N300,000 on hospital bills already. Shockingly. The DPO gave them  N65,000 but they still need more money because the doctor said Blessing would need about two more surgeries. The doctor explained that the bullet had passed through the left cheek of Blessing’s mouth, broken her jaw bone and destroyed a portion of her flesh.

She also lost a lot of blood. Her mouth was drilled and operated upon. She can’t even eat solid food. She is just taking fluid and only started talking two days ago and due to the severity of her condition, Blessing could not retain saliva in her mouth.

Blessings uncle explained that Blessing’s father is late and her mother does not have the financial wherewithal to offset her medical bills. So, they are appealing to well meaning Nigerians to help.

Finally the police spokesperson for the state police command, Mr. Joseph Jaiyeoba, said the police were on the trail of the suspect and added that it could not be confirmed if the policeman kidnapped Patience or both agreed to flee.

Another pathetic story from the house of Nigeria Police. Nigerians if you believe that police is your friend then know that you are on your own!
