UPDATE: Suicide Bombers Hit Military Vehicle, Die In Bid To Attack NNPC In Maiduguri

Suicide bombers in four Volkswagen golf cars rammed into two military trucks on Damboa road 10km from Maiduguri. At this time, casualty figures are unknown.
Maiduguri has been the site of attacks on the Giwa Barracks led by the Boko Haram Islamic sect in recent weeks.

For the latest update;
Saharareporters reported that Four terrorists believed to be suicide bombers, apparently heading for an NNPC facility along Maiduguri-Damboa road, have died in their IED laden vehicles. This latest news comes from sources inside the Nigerian military.
The explosions took place at Mule, on the outskirts of Maiduguri. Three of the four explosive laden vehicles were demobilized by shots fired at them by soldiers at the checkpoint shortly before the explosions that rocked the area, according to a release issued out of the Nigerian Defense Headquarters, from the office of Chris Olukolade.
Five soldiers were wounded while the civilian casualties are yet to be determined.
